Ingredients and/or composition

• 100% maize, hydrated to ideal moisture content
• Packed in a sturdy culture bag with injection port
• Equipped with a 0.2 μm filter valve

Use

Inoculation:
Inject 2.5 to 5 ml of spore solution or liquid culture through the injection port. Work hygienically and use gloves.

Incubate:
Store the bag in a dark place at 20 to 24 °C.

Colonise:
Once the mycelium has spread about 7 to 10 cm, you can gently knead the bag to speed up the process.

Use in monotub:
When the entire contents are colonised (white of mycelium), mix 1 part spawn with 5 parts substrate for further growth.

After complete colonisation, multiple harvests are possible.

Suitable mushrooms

Perfect for Psilocybe cubensis species such as Golden Teacher, Mexican and other varieties. Also suitable for edible species such as oyster mushrooms, shiitake and Lion’s Mane.

For species like Psilocybe cyanescens, azurescens or zapotecorum, use this spawn as an intermediate stage for later grafting woodchips or straw.
